Attempted Car Theft 10th August 2009

At 11.25pm on 10th August 2009 two males were seen trying to steal a vehicle in Lower Adelaide Street.

They were disturbed by a Neighbourhood Watch member and ran off.

Though they caused damage to the vehicle, they did not manage to steal it.

If you have any information in regard to this crime, please contact Northamptonshire Police on 03000-111222.

Though it does not relate to this crime, could we remind all residents to take all valuable property (or anything which a thief might think is valuable) from their vehicle to prevent their vehicle being targeted.

Drugs In Our Community

As you know, drugs are NEVER something we should turn our backs on. Drugs can be addictive, even cannabis and many people commit crime in order to get the cash to pay for drugs. There is also the side issue of dirty needles being left lying around the Semilong Community, as what happened recently when some were found outside Castle School.

For that reason, if you know anything about drugs in our community, please let the police know, let us know, or tell Crimestoppers.

This is an issue which must be tackled.
